 program began.

In our over 30 years of serving the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area, we have been committed to being one of the premier repair facilities in our area. We are proud to have achieved recognition and top level certifications from several manufacturers, including Audi Aluminum, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW, as well as certifications with the Volkswagen, Nissan and FCA. In fact, we were one of the first repair facilities in the greater metro area to achieve certification when the Audi certification program began.
Our specialty certifications and inventory of top-notch equipment and supplies, combined with our factory trained staff, have serviced the Audi customer extraordinarily well. Our technicians are trained by Audi in aluminum work, and our facility was the first in New York to be trained in Audi aluminum. Since the late 1990s our work with aluminum A8s, and then thereafter TTs, R8s, and the new Q7s, has made us a top choice for flagship dealerships throughout the area.

His other hobbies include carrying forward the traditions of his parents, ancestors, and first home, such as making wine, making tomato sauce, and other Italian delicacies. He is a proud father and grandfather; he loves spending time with his family and traveling with them.

He attends monthly workshops and hands-on courses related to engine performance and environmental emissions, in order to stay current in the latest vehicle technologies. Come see Gino for all of your repair needs!

Angelo Appollonio

Co-Owner

As one of the founding partners of Prospect Auto, Angelo’s success is a product of his love for cars, which began at an early age. He came to America from Italy at 15 with a dream to make a name for himself. Taking advantage of what he was most passionate about, he, his brother Emilio and cousin Gino were able to start a business on the very street where they called home (Prospect Ave). They turned that small autobody garage into the thriving business it is today. Angelo continues to grow his knowledge on luxury cars on a daily basis. As the car industry evolves, so does he, his team and subsequently, the shop as a whole.

About The Owners

Emilio, Angelo, and Gino are the owners of Prospect Auto Collision and Service Center. Emilio and Angelo, who are brothers, came from Italy together with their cousin, Gino, and their respective families, in 1975. They lived in the Belmont section of the Bronx in a community with many other Italian immigrants. Their new home soon would become the place where they would pursue and fulfill their dreams. Being passionate about cars was something they all had in common, and at very young ages they began gaining mechanical experience. While some would say they were practically born with wrenches in their hands, in 1980, they became business owners working out of a rented 3-car garage on Prospect Avenue. Not long after, in January 1984, they closed on their purchase of Prospect Auto Sales and Repairs on Laconia Avenue. At that time they occupied a 2500 square foot building. Over the years, they expanded the business of the mechanic and body shop and therefore the capacity of the physical space needed to follow and expand as well. Today, they are still located on Laconia Avenue, but the shop is now approximately 20,000 square feet. The evolution of the shop has been a manifestation of the significant changes that automobiles have incurred over the past three decades; always incorporating the most cutting-edge tools, technology, and facilities to accommodate what was current for the automobile
